In-game recorder

If I can somehow get my gameplay to not lag, I could manage to record some games like clan wars, clan pubs. I will be using the in-game recorder as mentioned in the title, not fraps. Any thoughts?

Ummm , put some effects into it so the people watching it concentrate on the effect not the quality

Its not a montage its gameply =\ unfortunately my computer is shit so I cant put it any higher.

I dont really like effects.. except when you hit unbelievable or get epic lotto shots then you could put some effects in. But I prefer to keep the video to way it is & I dont have much experience in movie-making and effects anyway :S

I don't think it's possible to up the quality on the in-game recorder, but for just gameplay with little to no lag it should be decent. If you want to get montages, hackers, or serious gameplay Fraps would be a better choice, since the quality is 10x better than the in game recorder.

I guess you could do what Michael suggested with putting effects, but that usually doesn't turn out very well unless you know how to blend the effects in with the actual gameplay.

Fraps turns me to a trainee with 0.5 kdr. In other words, I lag like hell. I might go over to my cousins place on Thursday and use fraps on his computer, which is quite beast. Hopefully we get to CW and I get some good gameplay so more random videos will come !

Fraps is way better than the in-game recorder, in all truthfulness. You should only used the in-game recorder if you don't feel like downloading a free copy of Fraps. =)

Where can you get a free full version of Fraps?

Since there's another version that you have to buy, this isn't a "full" version, but it's good enough for your purposes (and the purposes of most Frapsers on CA).

I'm going to try download the full version without paying. Doubt it'll work.

Err...I wanna hear how you think you're gonna do this. For the full version of Fraps (and many other softwares), you have to click on a PayPal link, submit the payment, and only then will you unlock the full download. I'm not quite sure why anyone thinks they need the full version, though.

Or you could download a cracked version from the internet?

It's pretty simple. If you've heard of BitTorrent and you can type www.thepiratebay.org into your address bar, and you know how to search, you can find anything you want for free.

Yeah, go with what Tyleh said, especially if you enjoy downloads of dubious legality. (But seriously, thepiratebay might have it.)

I don't really record anything, because I question how much of an impact my videos of others are going to have on them being banned. So I don't know what the differences between free and paid Fraps are.

Hey guys my brother, who owns a better performing laptop, manage to record some footage using fraps (15 seconds worth but 433mbs) of him playing snipers only and getting an unbelievable (its a shame you couldnt see him kill the pros from the beginning of the streak). Its really good in quality so you guys might enjoy those 15 seconds =]
