Updates and new event

I hope that everyone has had the chance to read the updates on 1/19. The achievements system should be cool, but I don't know how much I'll be using the notes. Still, at least clicking on those tabs should do something now.

The changes to servers are worth reading, but the significant changes are that Alpha is now Rec Rules, but has an SFC requirement. SSG and lower can go to Papa. Tango (the higher-KDR version of Foxtrot) has a KDR requirement of 0.80 instead of 1.00 now.

The Battle of the Best is the big thing I wanna talk about. I encourage everyone to go for what prizes they can. Those that use GP (like me) can enjoy the cash bonuses for the Good Soldier missions. Those that don't can gift the rest of us. The Better and Best Soldiers are out of my reach, given when I can get online (finals started today). But I'm hoping that we can play a lot more Clan Matches for this event for one of the Good Soldiers missions. I suspect a lot of other clans will be doing the same, so there will hopefully be more good matches to play.

Also, read about the new TRG-21 and TRG-SE and expect to see those in-game. I'm also wondering if anyone noticed the title of this release on the website. Anyone smell a new mission coming?

I'm a little disappointed that some of the achievements don't automatically update if you would have gotten them in the past. I mean, CA tracks medals and other stats, so why doesn't that count towards your achievements in-game?

Also, I'm sick of sniper rifles. I want something fun to play, like a new pistol or machine gun. ^_^

I agree with you about the achievements. Nexon's answer to that FAQ was that no one should have a head start. By that logic, we should be getting rank and KDR resets everyday, too.
