[WEAPON] XK-8

Anybody used the gun yet? I hear it's like the TAR-21, which I'm a fan of. It's available at a decent rank (CSMIII, I hear?), so I'll probably end up trying it but if you guys have any reviews on it that would also be helpful.



I also am interested in a possible permanent G36E Valkyrie Autumn, so I may play A LOT this weekend. =)

There aren't any reviews out yet (from reliable sources) except for this one review where you can see the spread in papa server (which is about the same as the G36E except with morely zig zag). The GP version is complete crap though as you can see in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqaLOYzUNak which does a recoil test. I still think the G36E is better because the spread and recoil of the XK-8 Tactical doesn't seem to be that much better than the G36E even when comparing it to the papa server recoil and spread since you will only need 3 shots to kill someone with the G36E instead of 4 with the XK-8 Tactical. The perm G36E Valkyrie Autumn the same as the regular valk with an extra clip so I think I will play during the weekend too but unfortunately I will have to kiss my 2 Kdr goodbye.

Edit: MediocreCA's review came out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8X7dQsLDfA and after watching the spread I'd say its spread is definitely a bit better than the G36E when spraying full auto but the XK-8 Tactical is nothing to get too crazy about unless you like rushing with ARs and sniping from a distance (actually thats what I like doing but I don't think it is too much better than whats out already. Normally I wouldn't get too crazy about looking at the stats deciding whether the gun is good or not but the gun is only going to be perm for a short time so I researched the gun a bit excessively).

I bought the GP version for a day, and I really enjoy it. It's the best GP bullpup rifle out there. The scope is pretty crappy, though. I've never been much for the AUG A1's scope, but it's accurate enough to do its job well. The recoil is pretty manageable and it feels similar to the G36E when using it. It's a four-hit kill but for me that isn't a problem since I always shoot for the head at a distance anyway which is where I get all my kills. I swap to a CQC weapon like my MP7 MOD or M4 Super 90 when I get that close.

Overall it's a pretty badass looking gun, although it's a bit loud. I bet the NX-S version fixes that, since it looks like it has a suppressor. I have no idea about how bad the recoil is (because like I said, I aim for the head at long range or I tap fire so recoil affects me very little). Spread pattern isn't nearly as wide as the G36 to compensate for an extra shot to kill, so it feels very balanced.

It's not the best gun out there but it's a fun one to use. I'm probably going to add it to my permanent arsenal at some point.

After watching more videos I found that the XK-8 Tactical is actually pretty good and is like a more balanced version of the REC7 Rangers (if you want to buy it perm I suggest you pick it up and try the gun for yourself to see if you like the recoil).
