The new Fireteam map is finally released!

Along with the release of Black Lung, there's also a new machine gun, the MG21E and some sales on several Spec weapons.

Hack protection has been upgraded. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of hackers in the game, although Nexon has been doing a pretty good job so far. I've seen less and less hackers around lately.

I'm happy I'm not high enough rank for the new shades. I just bought the orange ones for 90 days 3 days ago. I haven't gotten on yet but the patch looks pretty cool so far (especially since I found that the lag is going to drop my kdr to 1.3 if I keep playing on my craptop so I can only play on fire teams). If you get more than one reward for completing a fireteam (like If i completed extreme on cabin fever twice and got 2 enforcer masks) do they add up and give me 2 days duration?

You activate them twice, it works like a renewal kit. Can't buy any of the new GP items...

I like the new patch so far. The new fireteam gives you the same exp/gp as cabin fever but only lasts 12 rounds on extreme instead of 20 (lasts vaguely the same amount of time as 12 rounds of cabin fever) and it is a lot more interesting. I was the second from the bottom player in my room thanks to my craptop which runs at 10 fps when there are a lot of infected and i still got 400 gp and exp. The only problem with this new mode is that it is at least 3x easier to get over run then in CF so playing with noobs isn't that good of an idea. For those of you who haven't played the new mode there are no new infected although there are some normal infected who wield these weird metal pole objects and try to destroy some object you are trying to protect. Unlike CF though you don't need at least 3 weapons to do well and I actually only ran out of ammo once (still had plenty in my secondary though) with my MG36 and M6A2 SRT since the infected bunch up so its easy to kill them but that means that the ammo will be out of reach most of the time. I also got by without having medpacks for the harder levels because the spec in the last room I was in quit but since it is very easy to get over run you have to watch the mini map a lot.

I haven't seen any hackers so far which is good because there were quite a few hackers before the patch but I'm not sure how long that is going to last. The best thing of the new patch is that there is a 10% chance you can get the Don Pedro sword permanent. The sword doesn't look like much of an improvement from the ninjato but since mercs were perm for a short period of time it suggests that they may allow people to buy perm melee, nades and launchers soon (I'm not up for the launchers since it will make CWs utter chaos but I like the idea of more perms in new categories).

Just as a correction, only 10 people will get the sword permanently, not 10% chance.
