So I just read the State of the Game, especially the part about the Gun Emporium. Maybe you guys already know this, but the idea is that players will combine existing guns to create otherwise unobtainable new ones, based on "recipes" that Nexon will create and leave hidden.

Any thoughts as to what this is going to do to the game/balance? Obviously, anyone who can't figure out recipes for themselves will probably find them on the wiki.

Hmmm.... that's interesting as I think the idea originated from Minecraft. Combine two existing items to create an entirely new one.

Well, I don't think Minecraft was the first to do that, either. Countless online games (especially escape games) and some RPGs have done that before. I do like the way Minecraft does it, though.

There are a ton of games that incorporate the idea of combining weapons. For the most part I think the Emporium is a great idea but the only thing I have a problem with is that this will create a ton of guns and there aren't enough ways for CA to incorporate new guns without making the game unbalanced (I'm more concerned about the fused guns being underpowered rather than them being overpowered). The only way that this new system can be helpful in Combat Arms is if they completely change everything in the game so that there are more ways for a gun to stand out from the other ones (for example the most useful aspects of sniper rifles is damage and accuracy and everything else doesn't matter so these fused guns will either have to stand out as far as other stats go more than the existing guns or a completely new variable has to be added to make the new guns worthwhile).

I think that this would be really cool, I would like to know how are you able to combine weapons, meaning what guns are available to combine, are they only allowed to be combined by weapon type (SR with SR and MELEE with MELEE (lol melee with melee) or can you do SR with AR or SG with SMG). Also, other questions that should be answered, how will we know what increases its stats or decreases its stats, will there be a meter that shows stat change?

There are many more questions to be asked, but hopefully most of them will be answered!

Does anyone know when this will be released??? I would REALLY like to know!

From the hints Nexon has been giving the emporium will be out next month and the repack will be released on the 3rd Anniversary (which is in July) or maybe a little before then.

Edit: Nexon has also hinted that you will only be able to fuse primaries (and maybe secondary weapons too). This rules out an M416 with a preattached grenade launcher.

I don't know how you actually fuse primary weapons. Would it be like attaching a shotgun to an AR or do you think you would be able to attach a AR to a SR?

From what I understand you can pretty much attach anything to a gun if it is compatible (or if you find some other way of attaching something to it). These parts are most likely built to be attached to a particular gun so you can't just slap a shotgun onto a sniper rifle. If you look closely the M416 CQB has a laser sight attachment on the side of it. The more common weapon related attachments are grenade launchers with 1 shot, shotguns and bayonets. I don't really know much about real world guns though so don't quote me on anything.

I think it would be better if Nexon would just add grenade launchers, laser sights, etc. to the modification tab. Fusing guns themselves would be counter-intuitive and would probably mess with the balance of the guns. In real life, you don't mix and match gun parts (in general).
